Site Development Consultant

The Site Development Consultant position helps drive Slope’s US-based research site expansion strategy by increasing the number of research sites using Slope’s clinical -trial inventory management platform. You will achieve Slope’s site engagement and onboarding targets for new research sites through active outreach to US-based research sites — primarily Academic Medical Centers (AMCs), NCI-Designated Cancer Centers, and healthcare networks. Success will be measured by the number of new sites and research departments that sign up for and utilize Slope’s free software.

• Conduct market research to identify key decision makers at targeted sites, their unique challenges, and how to position Slope to meet their needs.
• Develop and foster relationships with these stakeholders, sharing the operational benefits of Slope’s software to their organization.
• Own the site relationship from engagement to onboarding, communicating in both written and presentation form with various audiences. Provide subject matter expertise to research site stakeholders virtually, in-person, at conferences, and by leading remote presentations.
• Manage a pipeline of site leads and contacts, forecasting, and reporting through Slope’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Collect and track insights from site interactions to help with product development, marketing resources, and competitive analysis.
• Collaborate with internal Operations, Product, and Solutions peers on strategy, account outreach, and product feedback.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent, and some post-secondary education required. Bachelor’s degree in science or health-related field preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in a clinical research environment required, with preference for experience within a larger research site.
• Business Development or Sales experience is a plus.
• Deep understanding of all aspects of site-based clinical operations, inventory and sample management, budgets, study management, and the different eClinical software platforms in use at research sites.
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
• Ability to apply operational knowledge to a role in business growth and development.
• Ability to understand and network with research sites of all shapes and sizes.
• Detail-orientation, follow-through, and organization skills with the ability to proactively identify and solve problems.
• Ability to interact with various organizational roles within a network, from daily users of Slope to C-Suite and department decision makers.

• An outgoing self-starter and natural networker who is willing to take initiative and demonstrate ownership.
• Someone with research operations experience who can speak about the pain points associated with current industry “best practices” including drug, device, lab kit, sample, and ancillary supply management.
• Someone with a deep curiosity and desire to make life a little easier for clinical research colleagues.
• Someone who works well independently, as well as in a team environment.
