Job Summary

The Slope Senior Marketing Writer will be the “voice” of Slope. This is an excellent opportunity for a career writer to contribute to a B2B SaaS company’s success during its high-growth period. The writer will have responsibility for all customer-facing content throughout the customer life cycle from acquisition to onboarding and support. The primary target audiences are ClinOps teams at biotech and pharmaceutical companies that sponsor clinical trials, project managers at contract research organizations (CROs), and site coordinators at clinical research sites.

Responsibilities

As the “voice of Slope”, the Senior Marketing Writer will be responsible for delivering a broad range of content. You will:

  • Write content that develops credibility and trust with our target audiences
  • Develop top-of-funnel thought-leadership content in the form of blogs, whitepapers, eBooks, video scripts, and nurturing emails
  • Develop middle-of-the-funnel product content in the form of product collateral, product fact sheets, use-case solution briefs, and customer case studies
  • Develop bottom-of-the-funnel content in the form of ROI model content, sales proposals, and statements of work (SOW)
  • Maintain post-sales customer onboarding, education, and help center content
  • Ghostwrite copy for executives and subject matter experts
  • Research, analyze, and develop content that will resonate with our intended audience
  • Partner with graphic designers to create compelling content that marries the copy with the design
  • Edit content developed by others within the company
  • Maintain a consistent voice in all creative content and ensure it adheres to corporate messaging and style guidelines
Experience & Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in B2B content writing, content marketing, content management, and content creation
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, or equivalent
  • Proven experience developing a portfolio of digital content for a technology product
  • Experience writing content regarding how technology adoption can improve workflows, data, and the daily jobs of users
  • Ability to work within a standard messaging framework — which you will maintain
  • Methodical approach to writing that includes developing detailed outlines for review, writing first drafts based on the outline, and reconciling input from multiple internal subject matter experts to incorporate into the final version
  • Analytical approach to writing based on search engine optimization (SEO) and content performance in generating website traffic and leads
  • Strong understanding of how copy works visually in the context of web pages, emails, and marketing collateral
