Job Summary

This position is for a Controller and is currently a remote position. This is a new role that will allow the successful candidate to shape and evolve the function and its wider integration into the company, inform the direction of new system implementation and inform the headcount growth of the function. We are looking for a results-driven and confident controller with demonstrated leadership experience, to manage and improve our organization's financial performance and direct our accounting operations. Duties for the controller will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, engaging in investor and board relations, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.


Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a controller will aid our organization in developing our financial model to contribute to our overall financial growth and trajectory as we scale, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in shaping corporate strategy related to financial modeling and deal structure evolution.
  • Preparing financial reports.

  • Overseeing and preparing income statements.
  • Participating in budgeting processes.
  • Managing financial transactions.
  • Streamlining accounting functions and operations.
  • Developing plans for financial growth.

Experience & Requirements
  • MBA preferred.
  • Masters in Accounting preferred.
  • Active CPA license or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience streamlining accounting functions and operations, providing financial analysis and reports, training staff on business finance issues, promoting regulatory compliance, and driving income generation.
  • Excellent leadership qualities, with a desire to engage team members across the organization.
  • Proven experience in finance management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Compliance oriented.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Non-smoker and able to pass a drug test.
